Business Consultant
The Business Consultant is responsible for generating new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, channel partnerships, and self-sourced leads. This role owns the full sales cycle—from identifying prospects and building relationships with decision-makers to negotiating contracts, closing deals, and supporting implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and close new business opportunities within an assigned territory.
- Execute proactive prospecting strategies to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Conduct client needs assessments and recommend tailored solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, scope of services, and client agreements.
- Manage opportunities and sales activities within Salesforce CRM.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and consistently achieve sales goals.
- Partner with implementation teams to ensure a smooth client onboarding experience.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and proposals.
- Travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and company events.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or consultative selling preferred.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue and activity goals.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business productivity tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
