Business Consultant - New York City

The Business Consultant is responsible for generating new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, channel partnerships, and self-sourced leads. This role owns the full sales cycle—from identifying prospects and building relationships with decision-makers to negotiating contracts, closing deals, and supporting implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and close new business opportunities within an assigned territory.
  • Execute proactive prospecting strategies to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Conduct client needs assessments and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing, scope of services, and client agreements.
  • Manage opportunities and sales activities within Salesforce CRM.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and consistently achieve sales goals.
  • Partner with implementation teams to ensure a smooth client onboarding experience.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and proposals.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and company events.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or consultative selling preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue and activity goals.
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business productivity tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
